Overcoming Difficult Feelings as a Stepparent

If you struggle with feelings of doubt, resentment or insecurity in your stepparenting role, this video will be a blessing to you. It's a powerful reminder of why we make unending sacrifices for our stepchildren every day.

I first saw this video on Meg Miller's blog a few weeks ago. It spoke to me powerfully. I don't usually watch videos that people recommend, but I believe this one is worth your time.

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Wow, that was powerful. It was timely for me to be reminded that as mums and stepmums, it's not about us or recognition of our often thankless position or accomplishments, it's about us remembering that our Heavenly Father sees all of this and treasures us and HE notices what we do day after day after day. I love her friend's note: 'With admiration of the greatness you are building when nobody sees'. I have many 'mum' friends who can do with that encouragement. Thank you for sharing, and your blog...it has been a pearl I've discovered after some difficult years as a stepmum. I'm glad I found you, thank you.
